JULIA BUGRAM
Artist. Feminist. Thinker.
Julia Bugram transforms art into lived community at the intersection of sociopolitical discourse. Through drawing, graphics, objects, and social sculptures like Raising Hands (1 million cent coins as a symbol of peace) or Attention Ants!, she creates new, communal spaces. As a board member of IntAkt (founded in 1977), she advocates for solidarity and the visibility of female artists. She understands her feminist practice as a living engagement. For her, art is an invitation to co-create and to transform—an open exchange, solidarity, and sometimes provocation. Between I and we, between memory and vision, between what is and what could be.
