GISELA JÖBSTL
Pianist. Performer. Educator. Forever Curious
This wonderful pianist is celebrated for her artistry as a chamber musician and prize-winner at international competitions. She captivates audiences with lieder recitals and concert programmes that unite beloved repertoire with lesser-known works and contemporary music, creating programmes of remarkable variety and character. Trained in Vienna and Graz under Adrian Cox and Julius Drake, her playing was further shaped by masterclasses with leading interpreters. As Senior Lecturer in Piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, she inspires the next generation with her artistry and vision.

“Music has a way of uniting strangers in a collective experience. It can be a gateway that opens up new worlds waiting to be discovered, letting us wander through realities beyond our own and revealing possibilities for connection.”
“When I create a recital program, I enjoy exploring the less obvious paths. In doing so, I try to make space for voices that haven’t always been heard and allowing the familiar to transform into something new and unexpected. As a performer I want invite the audience to explore new landscapes together and perhaps see the world through a broader lens.”
